Dana Milbank from the Washington Post wrote a story about A Wider Circle - from their founding to his experience as a volunteer. He describes the work being done by their team as "the very best" of Washington.

A Washington Informer article featured Maria Gomez, President and CEO of Mary's Center. President Obama presented her with a medal and recognized her work which provides health care services to the nation's capital.

Maryland’s children fared well this legislative session with some major wins. Advocates for Children and Youth gave testimony or signed on to a total of 45 House and Senate bills which ranged from the important gun control legislation to the hefty Baltimore City Public School Construction bill.
